Chance to get into teaching at Coventry College talent recruitment event

Leaders and experts in STEM and construction industries are being recruited to help give the next generation of Coventry professionals the skills they need to thrive in a fast-evolving economy.

Top professionals can hear of opportunities to get into part-time or full-time teaching at a Talent Recruitment Event at Coventry College on Thursday, July 14 from 6pm to 7.30pm.

The event has been organised to support the College’s new STEM programmes, which have been developed thanks to Skills Accelerator funding and feature a range of new state-of-the-art facilities, such as a dedicated Electric Vehicle training centre.

Teaching qualifications are not required, with practical experience and a desire to support up and coming talent also considered across all subjects, which range from STEM, construction and business to creative arts, English and sport.

Flexible and part-time opportunities are also available, meaning business owners, retirees and postgraduate students can use their passion for a subject to earn by supporting students at Coventry College while having time in the week for other commitments.

Benefits include a generous pension scheme, up to 39 days annual leave and Continuing Professional Development opportunities.

Gemma Knott, Vice Principal for Business Growth, Engagement and Partnerships at Coventry College, said: “We are always looking to bring new talent into our amazing faculty at Coventry College, and by expanding our connections with professionals in the region we hope to grow even further and place great people into rewarding roles with plenty of scope for progression.

“The event will be a great chance to speak to existing staff at the College, learn about the opportunities that are available in a variety of subjects, and how we can accommodate existing commitments through part-time teaching roles.

“It’s a really exciting time to be joining the college with new courses and facilities helping us to widen and improve our offer to young people in the region and people looking to change careers or upskill, and we want our people to play a huge role in that.”
