Employer letter re COVID-19 vaccinations

Dear Employer

Re: Covid-19 Vaccine: Protecting your workforce

Your local NHS and public health leaders are aware of the challenges you have faced over the past 18 months and that you may be struggling to maintain your workforce due to self -isolation constraints. Recognising the importance of business continuity, we wanted to contact you to bring to your attention that from the 16th August, people who are double vaccinated (this is likely to be at least 2 weeks after your second dose – please see gov.uk for guidance) will no longer need to selfisolate if they are identified as a close contact of someone with COVID-19.

As we move into the next stage of the pandemic response, we are asking all employers in Coventry and Warwickshire to help us to help you prepare. Vaccinations protect individuals and those around them and reduce the spread of the virus helping to keep infection rates low, so we can maintain the lifting of restrictions this summer and beyond.

We are asking you to encourage all staff to come forward for their vaccine without delay. Vaccinationsare available free of charge to everyone aged 18 and over, regardless of whether they are GP
registered or not. It’s important that we vaccinate everyone as soon as possible to ensure we’re all protected, hence our request to promote these messages with your staff, family and friends to help us all.

Over the next couple of weeks, we have extra appointments to make sure everyone can access their vaccine. Please encourage your staff to book into one of the vaccination sites across Coventry and Warwickshire, locations are detailed here, or attend one of our drop in clinics here. All details can be found on the happyhealthylives.uk website and are updated frequently as new informationbecomes available.

Many thanks,
Your local NHS & Public Health Leads
