CASE STUDY – EMPLOYIN5 LTD
Employin5 Ltd

Zeynep Turudi is a successful businesswoman and serial entrepreneur who sought support from Coventry University Services for her new startup. She was about to set up a new business in the employment industry. Her initial idea was to facilitate employers in finding the right employee in five minutes.
A half-baked idea
At that stage, the startup was just a half-baked idea based on half-baked information about the industry. Since then, it has evolved into a fully developed software platform at employin5.com. The employers log into the platform to locate the employee with the right personality and the right skill set for the right position. The search engine allows employers to go through thousands of profiles in minutes enabling them to identify the right person. Thus, the employers do not waste money or time in the process. The startup is still in Beta; it accepts only pre-approved employers and employee profiles.
Zeynep approached Coventry University Services after hearing about the support for Technology Startups offered via the Coventry & Warwickshire Business Support Programme; which is part-funded by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) and free to those eligible to participate.
Development & funding
As the founder was looking for funding to complete the development and fund the marketing activities, we explored possible avenues for the future. Together we identified that the best course of action was an investment. The company was, therefore, required to go down the route of becoming investment-ready. The founder attended a programme that allowed her to determine what investors are looking for and how to meet their requirements.
Zeynep said that the Coventry & Warwickshire Business Support Programme and Coventry University Services assistance was excellent:
“As a founder of Employin5.com, I attended Constantina’s investment programme to be able to understand investors needs and wants when investing. Constantina’s training day gave me great insights into the mindset of investors. When we are ready to invite investors onboard we will use the skills gained from the workshop.”
Constantina Katsari, a senior business adviser with the Technology Business Startup team, added that
“The startup is currently moving ahead with its plans and more news is expected soon”.
The support provided forms part of the Coventry & Warwickshire Business Support Programme which is part-funded by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF).
